Once upon a time, a sweet little show, of interest to some Poly's because one of the main cast member is Ginnifer Goodwin aka Margene from Big Love.
In this she stars as Snow White (no, really) transported to modern day, small town Maine along with the evil Queen, the magic Mirror, Rumplestiltskin, Jiminy Cricket, Red riding hood and of course, the Prince Charming.
Of course only those who created and cast the spell know who they really are, so Snow White lives as Mary Margaret, a school teacher with false memories implanted like the rest of the town. However, because Charming was injured when the spell was cast he arrived comatose and his implanted memories are not...correct and so, he loves his wife (Prince Charming's original fiancee - trust me, it makes sense in the show) who he has implanted memories of and he has his love for Snow White (which the false memories did not erase correctly).
*sigh* So as far as Prince Charming aka David in Modern Maine is concerned he truly loves both women, but he has been asked by Mary Margaret to choose....
Why should h e*insert expletives* choose?????
Because that is the bloody stupid monogamous paradigm, emboldened by the fact that, of course in Fairytale land, Snow White was his one true love, the OW was the arranged marriage.
